Athena Academia in Dubai: Expanding Educational Partnerships

“The schools we visited in Dubai share a deep commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and student wellbeing, values that sit at the heart of Athena Academia. We are inspired by these conversations and are proud to now be offering our bespoke services to students across Dubai and the wider UAE.”

In late November, Athena Academia travelled to Dubai to meet with a number of the region’s leading schools and senior academic leaders, sharing our personalised, results-driven approach to tutoring and mentoring.

Alongside the institutions highlighted below, we also visited several other respected schools in the region, reflecting our commitment to building meaningful, long-term relationships across the UAE. Across each campus, we encountered a shared dedication to ambition, integrity and student wellbeing, principles that closely align with our own educational philosophy.

During this visit, we were pleased to formalise strategic partnerships with a number of schools, further reinforcing Athena Academia’s long-term commitment to supporting families throughout Dubai and the wider UAE.

Dubai College

Our founder, Tina Lyberaki, was welcomed by Headmaster Tomas Duckling, formerly Deputy Head at Aiglon College in Switzerland, where many Athena Academia students are based. His leadership across both Switzerland and Dubai reflects a shared educational ethos of ambition, integrity, and academic depth.

Founded in 1978, Dubai College is renowned for its strength in science and sport, supported by a rigorous admissions process and a high-achieving student body. Tina’s visit offered valuable insight into a school that continues to set the benchmark for academic excellence in the region.

Tina also visited NLCS Dubai, a distinguished member of the NLCS family. With more than 1,900 students and an IB average of 36.8 points, the school blends academic tradition with a forward-looking, global perspective.

During the visit, Tina greeted the organisers of the Monaco Rugby Union, proudly supported by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, who were training on the NLCS grounds ahead of the Emirates Dubai 7s Tournament. It was a memorable moment for students and a reflection of the school’s strong community spirit.

We extend our warmest thanks to Dubai College, NLCS Dubai, the Monaco Rugby Union delegation, and all those who welcomed us so generously during our time in the UAE.

Looking Ahead

Our visit to Dubai marks a meaningful expansion of Athena Academia’s international presence. We are now offering our bespoke tutoring and academic mentoring services to students attending schools across Dubai and the wider UAE, including those following both the IB and A Level pathways.

Whether supporting long-term academic strategy, examination preparation, or university admissions guidance, Athena Academia brings the same personalised, results-driven approach that has defined our work in Monaco, Switzerland, and beyond.

As families across the UAE seek thoughtful, high-level academic support, we are proud to establish our presence in the region and to work alongside schools that share our commitment to excellence, integrity, and student wellbeing.
