we empower minds and inspire futures

We guide schoolchildren, university students, and adults along their educational journey – from the first steps in learning to admission into world-class universities, or a meaningful reinvention of knowledge and career later in life.

Our academy is built on deep respect for the individual – their questions, way of thinking, and rhythm of life. There are no typical courses or one-size-fits-all programs here – only personalised strategies, created with you and for you.

We work with clients in the UK, Switzerland, Monaco, France, and far beyond.

We combine classical European education, modern methodology, and a mentoring approach.

Each tutor on our team is not only an expert in their field, but also a mentor – someone who guides with attention and dignity, without pressure or rigid formulas.

Athena Academia is named

after Athena — the Greek goddess of wisdom, learning,
and strategic thinking.

Athena Academia is named after Athena — the Greek goddess of wisdom, learning,
and strategic thinking.

Honored in mythology for her intellect
and mastery of both the arts and warfare, Athena represents a powerful union of knowledge, creativity, and strength.

Inspired by her legacy, our tutors are not only subject experts, they are mentors who inspire and guide students towards both their academic and life goals.

the founder behind athena academia

At the heart of Athena Academia stands its founder, Tina Lyberaki — an educator, physicist, and mentor with over a decade of experience teaching ambitious students across Monaco, the French Riviera, Switzerland, and the UK.

Tina began her academic path at University College London (UCL), where she studied physics at one of the world’s top institutions.

But her most significant recognition came not from lecture halls, but from one-on-one mentorship — helping students unlock their academic potential and gain admission to the most selective universities.

Her teaching approach was shaped by the intersection of academic precision, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of how individuals learn. Tina looks beyond conventional methods, focusing instead on creating an intellectually rich, confidence-building experience tailored to each learner.

This philosophy became the foundation of Athena Academia — an institution designed to deliver high-level academic results through personalisation, strategic thinking, and human connection.

Tina remains actively involved as a tutor, empowering students’ minds and inspiring their futures.

Purpose-driven education

Having earned the school award for the ‘Most Improved Student’, Gregor exemplifies commitment and growth in his academic pursuits. His role as an ambassador will involve sharing his inspiring journey and insights with prospective students, embodying the transformative power of education that our agency advocates for.

Global Ambassadors

current students at leading institutions such as ISM, Aiglon College, Le Rosey, UCL, Oxbridge etc that are open to sharing their insights personally with families and students considering joining Athena Academia.

Our Global Ambassadors are not marketing, they are students who are already where you aspire to go.

Kiara Kling

a student at the ISM

Kiara’s academic journey is nothing short of remarkable, achieving the most significant improvement recorded at Athena Academia. In just five months, she impressively elevated her performance in IB mathematics from a grade 3 to a grade 7. Kiara’s extraordinary progress is a testament to her determination and the efficacy of our educational approach.

Sophia Zweegers

a student at ISM in Monaco

Sophia has shown extraordinary academic growth, raising her Science GCSEs by three grades in just four months of focused tutoring. By finally mastering the sciences, she gained confidence, applied herself with renewed determination, and exceeded her own expectations across all her exams. As an ambassador, Sophia represents the transformative impact of perseverance and education.

our students’

achievements

Stories that prove potential lies in everyone. The only question is how to unlock it. Here are examples of students who reached their goals with Athena Academia

Martina

Aiglon College in Switzerland

Martina began her IB Mathematics journey seeking greater confidence in the subject. Through consistent weekly lessons with Lisa — one of our expert Maths tutors — she developed stronger foundations and a more structured approach to problem-solving. Over the course of just a few months, her performance rose from 34% to 75%, a clear reflection of her commitment and growing enthusiasm for the subject.
Motivated by this progress, Martina chose to continue her lessons over the summer, determined to build on the momentum she had created.

Maria

Aiglon College in Switzerland

Maria maintained a grade average above 6 throughout the school year — a mark of steady excellence. Her school recognised this achievement with a place on the ‘Honour Roll’, celebrating her as one of its standout students.
Now stepping forward as an Athena Academia ambassador, Maria is ready to share her journey with future students — embodying the high standards and values that define our academy.

Kiara

International School of Monaco, now at UCL.

Started with a 3/7 and the belief that “math just isn’t for me.”After 4 months with a tutor who helped her see structure where there was confusion — she reached a 7/7!
Her school, the International School of Monaco, gave her the ‘Most Improved Student of year 2024’ award, and she further received an offer from UCL. Another proof: progress is about the right approach, not just innate ability.

Gregor

Aiglon College Switzerland.

Started his GCSE journey with a GPA of 3.76 — unsure if he could ever close the gap with his peers. After 6 months of working with tutors from Athena Academia across all his subjects, Gregor from Aiglon College (Switzerland) reached a GPA of 5.70.
In September 2022, his school recognised this leap with the award for “The Most Improved Student of the Year.” A clear sign that the right guidance can turn steady effort into remarkable transformation.

Tiger

International School of Monaco, now at UCL.

Started with a 4 in Physics and little motivation — even considering giving it up for Chemistry. After an intensive summer course with Tina, Athena Academia’s founder and Physics specialist, he covered the entire IB Physics syllabus in just 2 months and reached a 7.
Inspired by this breakthrough, Tiger from the International School of Monaco went on to work with our Maths HL specialist — and scored another 7. He changed his university plans entirely and is now studying Physics at UCL. Proof that the right mentorship doesn’t just change grades — it can change futures.
